THE CAREER CENTER
(Formerly InfoPLACE)
Located in the Maple Heights Regional Branch Library of The Cuyahoga County Library:
- The number one free career counseling resource of its kind in NE Ohio - This service has been in operation since 1976 providing guidance to adults in career decision-making, constructing effective resumés, job searching strategies, interview preparation, and education and training.  You will find an experienced staff of career counselors and librarians, an excellent research library, its own publications and career and job search workshops at several locations.
They offer Discover, a computerized self-guidance system. The Career Center also offers an extensive listing of Career and Employment websites to research.
 
Jim Hansen, Director and Career Counselor, facilitates a Job Club every Thursday morning 9:30 - 11:00 A.M. at The Career Center to discuss job search strategies and goal setting.  All are welcome.  No fee.

THE JOB CENTER
The Job Center is the official State of Ohio comprehensive One-Stop C
areer Center for Summit County.
The Job Center receives support from Summit County and 18 other organizations.
(Includes what was formerly the Employment Resource Center (ERC) of Summit County)

Are you unemployed, under-employed, laid-off, downsized, new to the workforce? Offering Job Placement Assistance, Information sessions for job search skills, career counseling, job search center with on-line computers, and more. Many services and workshops available including the Executive Networking Group which meets biweekly on Fridays mornings. Meetings include networking and support opportunities.

THE JOB SHOP
Lakeland Community College, Kirtland
The Job Shop offers many resources to assist unemployed professionals and workers. Every Monday morning you can attend career and job seeking skills presentations by some of the best employment specialists in northeastern Ohio. Throughout the week Job Shop members have access to other resources at the Mens Resource Center, including One-to-One Job Coaching. The Job Shop is geared to the needs of unemployed men and women.

Speaker series and support-networking session held every Monday 9 to 11am at Lakeland Community College. There is a $39 fee after the initial meeting for the 10 other meetings that follow. (Inquiries welcome about scholarships to assist in defraying the fee for the series.)

KEY CAREER PLACE:
Partnership of Cuyahoga Community College and Key Foundation
Located at each of the three Tri-C campuses, helps students, alumni and community members find jobs. Career development professionals are on staff to assist you. Jobs are posted online and at each center. Workshops on resume writing, job search methods and effective interviewing are offered weekly. The resource and computer labs have the latest online tools, books, video tapes and magazines to research the job market, employers and prepare for the interview. Fax and phones are available for job search use. Career Fairs held twice each year.
