We welcome all who are interested in learning more about the job search process or in specific topics to attend our Monday night meetings, held on the first and third Mondays of each month.
7:30 pm - 9:00 pm Please plan to arrive at 7:15pm
- Meetings are free and open to the public. - Recommended dress is business casual. - Reservations are not necessary.
Detailed publicity about each meeting will also appear in the Hudson HUB-Times just prior to the meeting date.
Each meeting will feature a different aspect of the job search process and is led either by a guest speaker or by members of Hudson Job Search.
These meetings and workshops are open to all who are interested in the topics,
including the families of job seekers.

September 7, 2010 - "Resume Preparation: The Basics"

Al Norman, HJS VP and Advisor, will show job seekers how to get the attention of a prospective employer in a structured resume which highlights accomplishments. He states “the effective resume must be pleasing to the eye, tell not only what the job seeker has done, but put forth direct and specific benefits to the prospective employer.”.
Al Norman is retired from MacTac as the Technical Director of Marketing and Manager of Product Development. With more than 25 years as a HJS advisor he has assisted hundreds of people with their job search and facilitates the practice interviews for HJS clients.

Building business relationships is key to not only searching for a job, but finding the right one.” Her presentation will cover how to uncover the “hidden job market” and how finding out about a company through networking will help you make a decision about the company that is best for you.
Bonnie has extensive experience as an Employment Consultant with a focus on comprehensive training and workforce development services. She currently coaches and trains her clients in transition to market themselves to their next employer.
