We welcome all who are interested in learning more about the job search process or in specific topics to attend our Monday night meetings, held on the first and third Mondays of each month.
7:30 pm - 9:00 pm Please plan to arrive at 7:15pm
- Meetings are free and open to the public. - Recommended dress is business casual. - Reservations are not necessary.
Detailed publicity about each meeting will also appear in the Hudson HUB-Times just prior to the meeting date.
Each meeting will feature a different aspect of the job search process and is led either by a guest speaker or by members of Hudson Job Search.
These meetings and workshops are open to all who are interested in the topics,
including the families of job seekers.

November 3, 2008 - USING THE "REFERENCE USA" DATABASE Presented By: Jodie DeLamatre
Jodie DeLamatre has been a Reference Librarian at the Hudson
Library and Historical Society since 2005. She received her master's degree in
Library & Information Science from KentStateUniversity
and her undergraduate degree is from OhioUniversity. Previously, she has been involved in community politics in Akron and was a reporter
for the West Side Leader.
DeLamatre will show job seekers how to use the database
ReferenceUSA which is available to library card holders. ReferenceUSA a good starting point to do industry and
company research. Information such as employee
size, sales volume, type of business and location, executives, corporate
families and company descriptions can be found. The ReferenceUSA database
contains detailed information on more than 14 million U.S. businesses, 210 million U.S. residents, 855,000 U.S. health
care providers, 1.5 million Canadian businesses, and 12 million Canadian
households.
