June 7, 2010 - "Interviewing: The Good, The Bad, and the Ugly"
Presented by: Panel of HJS Advisors
A panel of HJS Advisors will present in mock interviews the techniques that will help you land the job (Good), what will cause the interviewer to wonder about your qualifications (Bad), and what will most likely end up on the interviewer’s 10 worst list (Ugly).
Join us for this informal, yet inspiring look at what might be holding you back in your job search and also check out the winning interview style. Our panel includes a Human Resource Director, a business owner, a CFO, and the President of a recruiting company, all with multiple job searches and interviews during their careers.

June 21, 2010 -  "Services at The Job Center"
Presented By: Greg Morton
Greg Morton is Director of Workforce Development for Goodwill Industries. Greg will speak about services at The Job Center in Summit County. It is a facility where more than 20 workforce service providers are housed under the same roof to better serve the needs of both businesses and job seekers. The facility is the result of the Workforce Investment Act of 1998 which mandated that career centers be developed throughout the nation for the convenience of employers and job seekers. The Job Center is located at 1040 E. Tallmadge Ave. in Akron.

The services of Hudson Job Search are made possible by
the generous financial support received from the Hudson churches,
Hudson-area foundations and Hudson social service organizations,
as well as the time, talent and gifts of many caring individuals...
