We welcome all who are interested in learning more about the job search process or in specific topics to attend our Monday night meetings, held on the first and third Mondays of each month.

 
7:30 pm - 9:00 pm
Please plan to arrive at 7:15pm

-  Meetings are free and open to the public.
-  Recommended dress is business casual.
-  Reservations are not necessary.

Detailed publicity about each meeting will also appear in the
Hudson HUB-Times just prior to the meeting date.
 
Each meeting will feature a different aspect of the job search process
and is led either by a guest speaker or by members of Hudson Job Search.

These meetings and workshops are open to all who are interested in the topics,
including the families of job seekers.

January 4, 2010 -  "Preparing For A Great Interview"
Presented By: Bill Hornjak and Bob Madison

Bill Homjak and Bob Madison, both veteran Hudson Job Search advisors and Human Resource professionals with a combined 75 years of experience as corporate Human Resource Executives and Consultants will lead the discussion on preparing for a successful job interview.
 
Various interview topics will be covered including how to formulate powerful responses about past achievements, interviewing do's and don'ts, questions to ask, and how-to handle difficult interview questions.
 
Attendees are required to bring a copy of their current resume and a brief write-up of a sample job or advertisement that he or she would likely interview for.
 
 January 18, 2010 - "Managing Financial Issues during Career Transitions"

How individuals ultimately decide to deal with the critical financial issues they face during a career transition will have a significant impact on their long-term financial health. Learn practical financial and money management decisions. Topics include when to apply for unemployment, what you should do with your 401(K), and which accounts to tap first for living expenses.
 
Rick Martin, CFP with Szarka Financial Management has twenty-five plus years of corporate experience with National City Bank, Progressive Corporation and Cole National Corporation and for over 8 years has been helping people reach their financial goals.
