We welcome all who are interested in learning more about the job search process or in specific topics to attend our Monday night meetings, held on the first and third Mondays of each month.

- Meetings are free and open to the public. - Recommended dress is business casual. - Reservations are not necessary.
Detailed publicity about each meeting will also appear in the Hudson HUB-Times just prior to the meeting date.
Each meeting will feature a different aspect of the job search process and is led either by a guest speaker or by members of Hudson Job Search.
These meetings and workshops are open to all who are interested in the topics,
including the families of job seekers.

February 1, 2010 - "Making Connections"

Simon, owner of Profit Recovery Systems, Inc. and a member of Financial Executives Networking Group (FENG) will discuss how to make new business friends, what to do at job fairs and how to make the connections to be successful in your job search.
Jay Simon is a passionate advocate and supporter of job seekers. He spent four years in the early nineties wandering in his career and came to understand the power of support groups, networking, and the help of strangers. He is a member of the leadership team for FENG, the Financial Executives Networking Group in Northeast Ohio. Three and a half years ago, he started a FENG job seeker group that attracts 30 - 50 people at the monthly meetings.
Jay is a former President, and serves on the Board of Governors, of the Northeast Ohio chapter of The Institute of Internal Auditors. As President, he instituted a policy that members who are job seekers could attend Chapter continuing education events at no charge. Jay also recently started an In Transition Group for the Chapter members who are job seekers.
Jay holds a BBA from Kent State University and an MBA from John Carroll University. He is a Certified Fraud Examiner and a Certified Financial Services Auditor.
Jay’s professional experience includes ten years as a Corporate Officer and Audit Director for Brush Wellman, five years as Director of Internal Audit Services for the Cleveland office of AuditForce/Jefferson Wells International, and almost nine years as President and Vice President of Profit Recovery Systems, a contingency audit firm specializing in Telecommunications and Accounts Payable recovery audits.
